Novotel Kolkata Hotels and Residences has flown down celebrity Parsi chef Tehmtan Dumasia from Mumbai to usher in Jamshed-i-Navroze or the Parsi Spring Festival with a number of their favorite dishes such as Chicken Farcha (fried chicken),  Mutton Dhansak,  Sas ni Machhi (Fish in sauce), Patra ni Machhi (steamed fish in banana leaves) and Sali Marghi, and for vegetarians there is the famous vegetable stew, bheeda (Bhindi), Vengana No Katri (sliced aubergines), Lagan sara Istoo (wedding stew), Bharuchi Akuree, Ginger Biscuits,Freshly Baked Mawa Cake, Brun Pao and much, much more.

Chef Damasia has not only been in the industry for decades having worked at restaurants such as ‘By the Way’, ‘Uncle Tom’s Corner’ and the “Dadar Parsi Gymkhana Canteen’ but has also catered for many celebrity events including those hosted by Sachin Tendulkar, Shahrukh Khan, John Abraham and others.

The Special buffet will be hosted at The Square from the 17th-26th March from 7pm - 11pm for dinner and special Sunday brunches on the 19th and 26th March from 12 noon - 4 pm.
