She is also the author of two novels, The Man With Many Hats and The Teak Almirah that are set in the Jewish community of Calcutta. She writes and speaks on issues of gender and women’s rights as well as on the Bagdadi Jewish community to academic and public audiences in India, US and many other countries.

What can be more rewarding to the semi- retired or the retired, than the juicy prospect of travel which is now more of a reality than ever before. That prospect for me had been knocking on my doors for the past few years, so I have lapped it up at every opportunity.
My career itself, was one of travel. I was privileged enough to be in the merchant navy spanning almost 30 years and got to see most of the world, on the job.
Now living in Dubai over the past 19 years, has only whetted our travel appetite as Dubai is such an excellent hub for us always on the prowl for a good deal.
