‘Think Local Cook Global’ A Cooking Show With a Twist

After the immense success of ‘Kahin Goom Na Ho Jaye’ Sonali’s Cubo, curated by Vayjayanti Saharia Pugalia was back with yet another edition of culinary plating contest, where the contestants got the opportunity to flaunt their cooking and plating skills by preparing 3 types of vegetarian savories from any cuisine from across the globe.

The event aimed at celebrating the local culinary artists who were equally passionate about food, cooking and plating. The contestants prepared the dishes at their kitchen and plated them at the contest. The contest had many eminent footfalls and the contests were judged by some of the best celebrity chefs and epicureans in the city. The panel of judges included Suparna Mucadam, Amrita Ganguly, Aarushi Saroj Saria, Shaun Kenworthy, Gayatri Kohli, Sharad Dewan, Reena Dewan and Chef Sunshine.

This wonderful initiative by Vayjayanti Pugalia saw a lot of participation last year, irrespective of gender and age and this year, things got better with more participation and exploration of a wide range of global cuisines which included Moroccan, Italian, American and many more, presented in the most beautiful way during the contest. The culinary frenzy got seized with Swagata Dasgupta being awarded the 1st prize and Sonia Sethia receiving the 1st runner-up prize.
