Latha Puttana And Sailesh Singhania Brought Glamour To Centre Stage At LFW

Latha Puttanna’s “Wonder Years” was an eye-catching collection, presented at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2019.

Using inspirations from black and white photographs, Latha effortlessly transferred them onto ready-to-wear ensembles. Innovatively mirroring an era, where getting dolled-up was easy and breathtakingly alluring, the silhouettes had hints of the South Indian culture.

With intricate detailing, borders and motifs were juxtaposed to create a striking range. The pale, pink, printed skirt and blouse or a kurti with a swirling, long lilac skirt, were great additions on the ramp.

Standing out with subtle hints of the past, Latha Puttanna’s “Wonder Years”, captured the traditional South Indian ensembles in the most beautiful manner.

Sailesh Singhania Enthralled The Audience With His Stunning Sustainable Fashion Offering

Presenting a premium line of prêt and bespoke clothing, Sailesh Singhania presented “Shaahana” at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/ Resort 2019.

Using the splendor of Indian royalty, the underlying motive was to promote the magical adroitness of the rich in quality, hand woven fabrics of Hindustan. Each silhouette revived the age-old craft and ancient techniques to create a symphony of hand woven dreams.

Capturing the essence of sustainability, each ensemble was engineered to perfection. Keeping embellishments to a minimum, tailored deconstruction remained the highlight of the garments, while the fabrics remained of focal importance.

Tassels, along with embroidered skirts with motifs like, flowers, monkeys, deers, hunters and birds, were teamed with heavy jewelry. The polka dotted saris with rose gold embroidery and red borders stole the show.

The ensembles were of superior zari fabric and silk tissue, which was pleated to perfection so that each entry was an everlasting heirloom.

The very beautiful actress, Aditi Rao Hydari sashayed down the runway in an ivory Kanjivaram pleated lehenga, with a wide golden border and scalloped dupatta that covered the fitted metallic top.
