On November 18th, the Sunday dawn broke with the pulsating energy of the Steel City. If you are wondering why, let us enlighten you, it was the day of JSR Run-a-thon.

Tata Steel has always been very enthusiastic about building a healthy society and a strong nation and the Run-a-thon is one such initiative to bring the nation together for a healthy cause. This run for a fit lifestyle takes place across the nation and home-town Jamshedpur is definitely not an exception.

As Sunday morning approached a sea of red enthusiastic runners began to gather at the JRD Sports Complex and among them there were many eminent faces and guess what even the Red Miners (read Jamshedpur FC players) were a part of this amazing initiative.

With more than 6,400 participants which included Tata Officials, important city officials and some amazingly passionate runners as well. The categories included 5km for Boys & Girls, 10km and 7km for Men & Women.

Tata Steel is known for their amazing initiatives and their campaign that ‘Fitness is Fun. Just Run’ was indeed well received thanks to the amazing participation. The event was a huge success as it unified thousands at the ground as they run for a better and healthy tomorrow. It was indeed a wonderful experience to witness not just the Jamshedpur dwellers but from places around taking part in this wonderful initiative and supporting Tata Steel for the great cause.
