(CCSL) DC Block, Sector 1, Kol – 64. Ph: 2358 1011/12/13

Designed by the legendry and visionary Indian architect Charles Correa, makes it the most coveted mall architecturally. It is also the only Charles Correa architecture in the city easily recognizable by his trademark cubist volumes and cut-outs.  CCSL is a hangout. Sprawling and spread out it adapts the Indian concept of bazaar with the western concept of a mall, epitomizing the modern city at its finest. It is intercepted with trees and lawn and pathway and is built low in Indian style in contrast to western high-rises. A complex system of space and terraced plazas culminates in the central ‘kund’. The main pathway has an attractive kiosk ‘Kolkata Store’ a mock life-sized horse-pulled tram car reminding you of the Calcutta of yore, blending seamlessly with the modern architecture.

CCSL has the highest number of food outlets among any mall in Kolkata, with an unbeatable variety plus a large food court. It has a four-screen multiplex and a large 10,000sq.ft electronic games and entertainment section. A very happening place, Kolkatan’s being foodaholics you can look forward to frequent food fests here.
