Rathindranath Tagore, the prolific son of Rabindranath could be called the unsung hero in the family and of Shantiniketan. His contribution to the development of Shantiniketan  and setting up of Viswabharati was immense. Conceptualized by arts personality Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee and scripted by legendary media personality Chaitali Dasgupta, RABI O RATHI celebrated the life and times of Rathindranath Tagore through dramatized readings and Rabindrasangeet by Prabuddha Raha and Suchhanda Ghosh at a city artspace.  Chaitali, Sujoy and actress Ratasree built up the narrative with finesse and sensitivity while the vocalists added the right flavor to the lesser known aspects of Rathindranath.

The highpoint of the very informative script was where Rathindranath was not even considered to be in the committee of his father's birth centenary celebrations. Chaitali's signature storytelling was complemented by Sujoy's mesmerizing articulation. Suchhanda Ghosh enthralled everyone with her rendition of JODI HAAY JIBONOPURONO and Prabuddha Raha was at his best in TUMI SHONDHYARO MEGHOMALAA.  The evening began with an introduction by world-renowned historian Dr. Sabyasachi Bhattacharya. The over-packed audience at the art gallery was filled with the city's literati including names like Swatilekha Sengupta, Sohini Sengupta, Sohini Sarkar, Anjana Basu, Pranati Tagore, Pramita Mallick, Nabaneeta Dev Sen, Kalyani Kaji, Saswati Guhathakurta, Subha Pal, Malabika Bhattacharya, Saptarshi Maulik and many others.
