Starting July every alternate Friday, Monkey Bar brings to you ‘Live at Monkey’ in association with Smoke Inc. Start your weekend on a high with some great music, delicious small plates and heady cocktails. Kicking off the first in the series is a talented young band called ‘Yes Doctor’, who will be performing a selection of upbeat and popular covers ranging from old English classics to trendy pop songs by your favorite international artists, on Friday, July 7th, July, from 8 to 10pm.
Started by a group of spunky and talented musicians, ‘Yes Doctor’ is a three member band featuring Michelle Manuel on Vocals, John Paul on Guitar and Jishu Paul on the Cajon. The band plays an eclectic mix of jazz and pop music, from old English classics like ‘Somewhere in the rainbow’, ‘Chain of fools’, Neil Diamond’s ‘Red Red Wine’ and ‘Hey Mona’ to modern pop songs like ‘Rude by Magic’, ‘One More Night’ by Maroon 5 to some all-time favorites like Jason Mraz’s ‘I’m Yours’. Sing along with the music of your favorite artist or dance the night away to popular tunes, drop in at Monkey Bar and chase those weekday blues away. For all you party mongers out there, after 10pm Monkey’s in-house DJ Rwik takes over the console. Come by for a fantastic start to your weekend, you’ll thank us for its Friday!
