ICanFlyy is a vocational and skill building institute for special needs individuals founded by Minu Budhia to empower special needs young adults who, like you or me, deserve a place in society. Down Syndrome, Autism, Learning Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Challenges, ADHD, etc. are some of the special needs that they cater to. Students not only to receive vocational training and build their skills, but also become a part of a community that is open, non-judgmental, and embraces the idea that being different does not make one less of an individual.
For the past two years they have been successfully running vocational programs for special needs young adults aged 15+. During this journey, they developed ideas and methods which could be implemented at a younger age for better personal development and social integration. This led to the inclusion of two new programs in the New Year – Early Intervention and Pre-vocational. From January 2018 these two sections will cater to special needs children between the ages of six and fourteen. Children between the ages of six and nine join the Twinkling Stars Program where children between the ages of 10 and 14 join the Rising Stars Program. There is no upper age limit and at present our older students are in their early to mid-thirties.
The institute began its journey on 15th June, 2015 as a unit of Caring Minds. As it grew by leaps and bounds over two years, the institute was becoming an entity of its own and needed a new address. On 19th May 2017, they moved into new premises spread across five floors.
