Celebrating World Music Day
16th June 2017, witnessed an amazing musical evening organized by the Infinity Group in Sector V, Salt Lake. The venue being Infinity Benchmark and the occasion being World Music Day, the event saw corporates coming together for celebrating the same with a lot of enthusiasm.
The welcome address was given by Aninda Das, Secretary − Salt Lake Sector V Stakeholders’ Association. Mr. Debasish Sen, Chairman- NDITA & HIDCO, along with Mr. S. Radhakrishnan, President − Salt Lake Sector V Stakeholders’ Association, Mr. Pawan Agarwal, Director - Srijan Realty Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Jun Rae Cho, President - Korean Association of Kolkata and Mr. Vinaya Varma, CEO - mjunction services limited were the honored guests for the evening.
After a brief felicitation ceremony for Mr. Agarwal, Mr. Cho and Mr. Varma for their contribution to music, art, culture, education and corporate social responsibility, it was music all the way! It was the turn of the team from Infinity first, as the duo of Ananya and Anindya presented a colourful rendition of three English songs. Next came the Pankaj Mullick Music & Art Foundation. Led by Rajib and Jhinuk Gupta, the group performed a soulful collection of songs in English, Bengali as well as Hindi. Finally, mjunction took the stage as the last act of the evening. Ranging from soft rock to Bengali, Hindi to sufi numbers, the team from Mjunction (Piya, Kallol, Indranil, Tania, Snehajit, Avik & Abhishek) kept the crowd glued to their seats till the very end and even had several of them singing to their tunes. In between, several questions on music were asked by the team from mjunction, for which small gifts were given to those who answered correctly.
The evening concluded with a group photograph of all the performers with the guests of honor, a vote of thanks as well as with a promise to return once again with music.
