Art speaks where words fail to express.
One of the most promising artists of the city is all set to transcend the boundaries with her art. Known for her love for travel, Surabhi Agarwal also supports women empowerment through her paintings. She is known to explore the dreams and aspiration of women which often remains hidden under the many taboos and boundaries of society and culture. Starting from August 31st, 2017 to September 3rd, 2017, Surabhi Agarwal is all set to display her work to art lovers of the City of Joy. Her solo show ‘Transcending the Boundaries’ will be at the ICCR’s Abanindranath Tagore Gallery from 31st August onwards.
Speaking on the occasion Surabhi Agarwal said that “Art is my way of connecting to people and depicting what is going on around me. Through my art, I tend to express my thoughts on diverse topics, woman empowerment being one of them.”

About the Artist
Surabhi Agarwal is one of the upcoming artists of Kolkata. She is a self-taught artist and her love for travel is vividly reflected in her paintings. Her works mainly explore the beauty of cities, mysteries of religion, women empowerment and human desires. Being a woman artist she strongly believes in women empowerment and her beliefs are on display through her works of art.
