Art For Concern’s First Online Art Show

Art for Concern’s (AFC) first Online Art Show of Contemporary and Modern Indian Art is a fund raising initiative in aid of Concern India Foundation, a registered non-profit charitable trust working towards its objective of Helping People Help Themselves by making the disadvantaged self-reliant and thereby enabling them to lead a life of dignity. Concern India Foundation was set up in 1991 to extend financial and non-financial support to the grass root level NGO’s working in the areas of education, health and community development.  AFC’s support of these issues helps reach out to a wider section of beneficiaries such as children, youth, the specially challenged, women and the elderly.

AFC is a fundraising initiative that was started in 2001. Over the years, their art shows have acquired repute, showcasing some of the most established and esteemed artists India has to offer, while also supporting upcoming artists from underprivileged backgrounds.

The 15 shows that take place in 9 cities across the country are frequented by established art collectors, industrialists, CEOs, trendsetters and a number of high net worth individuals – many of them loyal donors to this cause and repeat buyers.

Encouraged by the response that they have been receiving over the years, they are launching Art for Concern - The Online Show −their first exclusively online art exhibition featuring Modern and Contemporary Art by renowned and upcoming artists from India. The exhibition will be live from 15th – 25th June 2017 on the website – www.artforconcern.org.

Besides featuring the work of established artists, it also gives upcoming artists an opportunity to showcase their work. Old favorites and works by a new generation of artists who could be tomorrow’s next big thing, will be up for grabs. The Online Show will keep in tune with the usual eclectic suite of artworks that Art for Concern is known to offer, with the likes of artists such as Ram Kumar, Lalu Prasad Shaw, Jayasri Burman, Manu Parekh, Jogen Chowdhury as well as cutting edge artists like R. B. Holle, Nilofer Suleman and Sunil Padwal.
